ABOUT THE COURSE

Vulvar lichen sclerosus is a chronic inflammatory skin condition that leads to changes in vulvar anatomy, discomfort and sexual pain. Historically, it was believed that this condition only affects girls before puberty and women after menopause. However, there are many women of reproductive age (20s, 30s and 40s) who present with this condition and it is not always immediately recognized in this age group. This Q&A session will focus on vulvar lichen sclerosus in reproductive-age women, including presenting symptoms, effects on sexual function, challenges in diagnosis, treatment options, and forward directions in increasing research and understanding.
