ABOUT THE COURSE
Are you feeling a bit intimidated and overwhelmed about treating your patients with pelvic pain? Does the thought of treating everything from bladder pain syndrome/interstitial cystitis, IBS, endometriosis, vulvodynia, vestibulodynia, and chronic pelvic pain syndrome make your palms sweat just a little? This webinar is for physical therapists who want to better understand and treat patients with pelvic pain without feeling anxious and overwhelmed. Lauren will help you understand why your patients are having pain with “normal” functionals like bladder filling, digestion, sitting, and sex and give you some treatment techniques to help them. We’ll go over evaluation and treatment strategies that you can use in the clinic or online so you can feel more confident in your ability to help your patients no matter what environment you’re in.
Course Objectives:
Get a greater understanding of the most common pelvic pain conditions we see including bladder pain syndrome/interstitial cystitis, endometriosis, IBS, vulvodynia, and chronic pelvic pain syndrome.
Understand why these patients hurt with "normal" functions like bladder filling, digestion, sitting, and sex (penetration, orgasm....)
Learn what you can do with your patient in the clinic or online (telehealth) to help them feel better.
Build up your confidence in treating pelvic pain.
