A Partnership - Baby's role in birth

It's a team effort. Baby and a birthing person work together. This session will prioritize the relationship between the baby and the pelvis. We will consider the baby's role in birth and how we can help the baby to complete its sequential reflexes in order to be born. Optimizing the birth process to minimize the trauma experience.

Course Objectives:

Upon completion, the participant will be able to: 1. Understand the significance of the partnership between mom and baby during pregnancy, childbirth and early postpartum. 2. Discover the types of support mom and baby require from pregnancy through early postpartum.

Your Instructor:

Chantal Traub is a certified health coach, doula, childbirth educator, yoga instructor specialized in pre/postnatal yoga and MUTU® Systems trainer and has been assisting expecting families in New York since 2003. She is passionate about educating and informing pregnant people about pelvic health during pregnancy and to train the body and mind for an efficient and positive birth experience. Chantal created her Pushing Power, Protect the Perineum for Birth! and Birthing Strong workshops, which educate about 2nd Stage Labor and the pelvic floor, to push safely and effectively and to minimize damage. Chantal lives in Brooklyn with her husband and 2 children and you can find them hiking upstate or swimming in lakes during the summer.
